Spiders. I hate spiders. Well, not really. But I finally get to take pictures of one.

Yuck. What kind of spider is this? Is it a garden variety spider? Proportion-wise, it has huge “fangs”. It definitely eats other bugs.

Judging by its body detail, it looks like its natural habitat might be living in the trees. It looks very much like twigs or sticks of wood. I really hope it’s not a human-biting spider. Man, I’d have to sleep with one eye open tonight. Otherwise, I’d have to attempt to get him while he’s hiding in that corner in the ceiling.

This lovely portrait is brought to you via Nikon D3200 with a Nikkor AFS 28-300mm 3.5-5.6G telephoto lens. Shot at about 800 ISO and 1/30 second. Night time, around 11pm central time, that’s why dark in the room. Used flash.
