Why I Don’t Smoke And Neither Should You

In my lifetime, I’ve only ever smoked about 3 cigarettes. Two of which were for online marketing (you can see the photo above). A nearly full pack of Marlboro still sits on my nightstand. So why the hypocrisy? Because it proves a point that even saintly figures like me have to pull stunts to establish somekind of persona online just so I can attract visitors to my site and maybe even give me work. It doesn’t mean there is a stronger correlation with being a smoker gets you more work, it just means you gotta try some stuff.

And let me tell you about cigarettes. They suck. They don’t taste good, they stink, and if you’re not the right person, smoking cigarettes will ultimately kill you.

But I’m not in the camp where I tell you not to smoke outright. You don’t have to cave-in to peer pressure either. But if you feel inclined to try it, then try it. But after that, it’s really up to you to decide what you want to do about it. If you’re a no nonsense person like me, it has more to do with keeping up appearances and forking over good hard-earned money is why I won’t take up smoking. And a tiny pack of smokes costs a lot! I think I paid $16 for a pack at my local gas station. I only smoked 2 of 20 cigarettes from it in the past 2 years. So I really don’t care about smoking.

But, as a public service, I suppose I should always tell young people NOT TO SMOKE.
