Sure, it’s not as powerful as an Apple iPhone, but it’s worth looking into.
If a Raspberry Pi is about $50, then what remains is an input device and and output device. I was thinking if someone had the knowhow, they could order a touchscreen amoled right from the supplier and rig the thing up themselves. Then it’s a question of power supply. And finally, a protective case. I don’t think this would go past USD$200.
Imagine… software developers, soon you’ll be targeting the Raspberry Pi platform (linux distributions) with “compatible with Raspberry Pi”. Man, that’s a whole market by itself.
